Four useful types of breathing. How can breathing help you? There are many different breathing techniques, in the nose and out the mouth breathing will help create peace. The difference in breathing time changes what brain wave you activate, beta being shorter and alpha being longer. Breathing in the nose and out the nose helps you focus, and builds courage. The third breath, in the mouth out the mouth, is a merging breath, it helps bring yourself together. And the last breath, in the mouth out the nose, helps let go, which is useful for dealing with frustration.
