I’ve heard this a thousand times in consultations.
“I’m feeling stressed or overwhelmed but I don’t know what to let go of..”
Think of a trapeze bar or if you have ever swung on monkey bars.
You’re thinking about which bar you are grabbing next.
And if you aren’t sure which bar you are grabbing next,
OR
You’re unsure if you can reach the next bar,
YOU HANG ON to the one you are on…
You DON’T let go.
And the only reason you don’t let go is because you aren’t certain of the next bar.
OR
You don’t think the next bar is achievable.
So, my suggestion is, don’t let go of anything right now.
Hang on.
And while you are hanging on,
Clarify your next bar.
Clarify your next bar, and the steps that go with it so you know you can achieve it.
Then, and only then, can you let go.
And you let go, as a result, of clarifying
And seeing the steps to the next bar.
See, you don’t need to know what to let go of.
