Chances are, adventure has taken a back seat to the habits of life.
The routine, the mundane, the ‘teeth brushing, face washing’ habits of everyday life.
Our brain grows and literally builds new neurons when novelty is introduced.
Novelty to the brain, something new in your experience, neuroplasticity in the science world,
IS to the average person,…ADVENTURE.
Adventure is novelty, and most people forget to infuse this regularly in their life.
EXCEPT novelty and adventure doesn’t necessarily have to be DOING something different.
And it doesn’t mean climbing a mountain or going for a hike
You can change the STYLE in which you do it.
Let me explain…
It can mean finding novelty and adventure in the actual routine of your day.
Any part of your day can be an adventure, because part of it is an attitude.
You can drag yourself or walk or dance into the kitchen.
You can lay in bed or cuddle or have sex or make love.
You can write an email with pure fact, humour, tenacity, exclamation marks!
Consider adventure is all around you, yet your capacity to be fully present with a larger contributing energy may be the adventure you are missing out on.
Go climb a mountain and embrace petting the dog with a similar adventurous attitude.
Adventure may depend more on your state and attitude, rather than location or action itself.
It starts with an awareness, an intention and an attitude.
Go make life what you would love to experience
